Historic Home Recognition Program

The CCHC has initiated a program of recognizing and honoring old homes and buildings in Chambers County, Texas . Recognition includes a sign posted in front of the home by the CCHC, designating the home as a county historic structure. Homes in all areas of the county will be recognized.

Endangered Properties
The old homes of Chambers County are considered endangered properties because so many have been lost without proper recognition.
Homes can be classed as Historic because of: age, architecture, location, builder, owner, or other county or historic significance.
