CCHC Essay Contest

Chambers County Historical Commission's Annual Essay Contest first began in 2006, and runs from November to March.
It is offered to Junior High and High School students in each of the three Chambers County school districts.

The contest has a Junior Division for grades 7 thru 9, and a Senior Division for grades 10 thru 12.
The deadline is generally March 1st, and Awards are to be presented at the school's award ceremony.


All Middle and High School students in Barbers Hill, East Chambers and Anahuac School Systems are eligible to enter
The information packets will be available from the School Principals or History Teachers.
The First Place Winners at each school will receive a trophy and a $50 Savings Bond.
