CCHC Essay Contest - October 2009 to April 2010 |

| At the Chambers County Historical Commission meeting on October 24, 2009, plans were made for the next Essay Contest The contest has a Junior Division for grades 7 thru 9, and a Senior Division for grades 10 thru 12. The topics that a student may choose from are: 1. Haunted Homes/Businesses/Places of Chambers County 2. Lost/Buried Treasures of Chambers County 3. Early Trails, Ferries, and Roads in Chambers County 4. Outstanding Characters of Early Chambers County The contest officially starts October 26, 2009, and the deadline for Essay entry is April 24, 2010. |
