Three Brothers Statues

June 4, 2010

The Chambers County Historical Commission is heading up a fundraiser to erect three statues, to be placed in Fort Anahuac Park.

The statues would be a tribute to Edward Taylor, George Taylor and James Taylor, who were the three Chambers County brothers who were killed during the battle of the Alamo against the Mexican Army in 1836.

The brothers were the sons of Anson and Elizabeth Taylor, who settled at Round Point, which is located about 3 miles south of Anahuac, back around 1828.

If you would like more information regarding the Taylor brothers or would like to contribute to the fundraiser, please contact the CCHC at 409-267-8363
